Uncle Mini started as a set of Notion and Google Sheets templates - and they work brilliantly for teams who like building their own systems. But other teams kept asking the same question: can you just make the tool?
So we did. Uncle Mini Workspace is a real, finished CRM and project tracker. It opens in your browser, stores everything in a folder you choose, and runs without a server, an account, or a subscription. There is nothing to set up beyond picking a folder.
It's for small teams of 2 to 10 who want their pipeline and projects in one polished place - and who'd rather pay once and own the tool than rent it forever from a SaaS vendor.
Uncle Mini Workspace ships with everything a small team needs to run sales and projects from a single shared file - whether that file lives on your laptop, your OneDrive, or your team's Dropbox.
Companies, contacts, deals, and activities - tied together with a kanban pipeline and an activity feed.
Projects, tasks, kanban, and timeline - linked back to your CRM deals and contacts.
Uncle Mini Workspace is local-first. Everything you do lives in a single file (crm.json) inside a folder you pick when you create your workspace. We never see it, we never touch it, and we cannot.
The app opens in your browser and asks you to pick a folder. Everything you enter - contacts, deals, projects, tasks, notes - is saved as JSON in that folder. The app reads and writes the file directly using the browser's File System Access API. Nothing ever travels to our servers, because we don't have any.
Want to share with teammates? Put the workspace folder inside a OneDrive, Dropbox, or Google Drive folder you already share. Each person opens the app in their browser, points it at the same shared folder, and you're collaborating. We're not in the loop.
Once it's loaded in your browser, it works without internet. Save while offline; the cloud sync handles propagation when you're back online.
The activity feed gives every contact and deal a story. The settings panel makes the local-first promise tangible.
Activities tie back to the contact and deal they belong to, so when you re-open a deal six months later you can read the entire conversation history without digging through email threads. Filter by type, contact, or date range.
The storage panel is the most important page in the app. It tells you exactly where your data lives, how much space it takes, how many automatic snapshots are sitting in the history folder, and which license is attached. No mystery, no lock-in.
Uncle Mini still offers Notion and Google Sheets templates - they're not going anywhere. But they're for a different buyer than the Workspace. This table is to help you self-select.
Through end of June 2026. Then $199. One payment, no subscription, ever.
Yes. Pay $149 once and the application is yours. No monthly bills, no per-seat fees, no upselling. Bug fixes and feature updates roll out over time at no extra cost.
If a substantial new major version ships in the future, existing customers will be offered a meaningful upgrade discount. We don't yet have specific dates or pricing - we'd rather see the product mature first. Your current license keeps working on the version you bought, indefinitely.
Your workspace is a folder. Put it inside a OneDrive, Dropbox, or Google Drive folder you already share with teammates, and they can each open the app and point it at the same folder. Edits sync within seconds via your cloud provider. When two people edit at once, a small merge dialog handles conflicts cleanly.
Safer than on most SaaS servers, in our view. Your data lives where you control it. If you stop using the app, you keep the file. If we disappear, you keep the file. If you want to switch to another tool, you keep the file. JSON is a documented, open format - any developer can read it, no proprietary export needed.
Yes. Once loaded in your browser, the app works fully offline. You can create deals, log activities, and update tasks without an internet connection. Saves go to your local folder; if that folder syncs to the cloud, the sync happens when you're back online.
The app needs the File System Access API, which is supported in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, and other Chromium-based browsers (desktop). Safari and Firefox don't support it yet, so for now Workspace is desktop-Chromium only. Mobile support is on the roadmap.
Email support@unclemini.com from the address you bought with and we'll resend it. Your license is also stored in your workspace once activated - any teammate opening the same workspace inherits the license automatically without needing the key.
The 14-day free trial is the refund. Use the app fully for two weeks before paying anything. Once you've decided it's right for you and you buy, the purchase is final. This keeps prices low and protects against people who'd otherwise game a refund window.
14 days, fully featured, no signup. If it works for your team, $149 gets you a tool you own forever.
